I knew a lot of people in their 20's who had bad flareups. Whenever under stress, I would get a "lump" under the skin that if I was lucky, the doctor would inject with a cortisoid. I worked in skincare and cosmetics in the 80's and acne is caused by too much testosterone in a female brought on by processed foods that stimulate the production of the hormone. Maybe in males it's the same. Processed food - grains, etc. can trigger outbreaks. Also using too many drying products can stimulate the oil glands to compensate for the lack of moisture. Dr. Murad has great products ( Avoid too many facials, washings, rubbings, etc. Ask your skindoctor about Accutane. I used to recommend it to customers.
Be gentle with your skin. If you don't like your skin doctor, find another.
